National engineering services provider Deritend sold to Rubix in strategic acquisition

Alinea Corporate Finance has advised the shareholders of Deritend on their sale to Rubix.

Deritend is one of the UK’s longest established and leading providers of engineering repair and replacement solutions, Deritend coverings a range of specialist product areas including electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, electronic controls and induction equipment.

Deritend’s team of over 100 engineering professionals serves more than 3,500 customers in the UK across all manufacturing sectors. In addition, the business offers specific expertise in serving the needs of the water treatment, food & beverage, energy, and automotive sectors.

Rubix is Europe’s largest supplier of industrial maintenance, repair and overhaul products and services. It was created from the merger of IPH with Brammer in 2017, following the acquisition of Brammer by Advent International.

From around 750 + locations across 22 countries, 8,500 employees help to identify, install and provide a leading range of industrial products and services to more than 20,000 customers. The business had combined sales of €2.4bn in 2020 and is a leader distributor in bearings, transmission and automation, fluid power, machining, assembly, tools and protective equipment.
