The Weedon Group, an integrated manufacturer of corrugated packaging, has been a prominent player in the packaging industry, offering a wide range of products and services, including e-commerce, retail-ready packaging, prefilled point of sale display, and industrial transit packaging. With revenues in excess of £30 million per annum and over 250 staff across two UK locations in Manchester and Staffordshire, The Weedon Group's acquisition underscores Zeus Group's increased focus on sustainable packaging and paper-based solutions.
Zeus Packaging, with 58 locations worldwide and employing 1,300 people across 38 countries, sees this acquisition as a key facet of its vertical integration strategy. Keith Ockenden, Zeus Group CEO, stated, "Our investment strategy is also focusing on paper-based solutions over traditional plastic-based production.
